Dr. Sean O’Sullivan
Endodontist in Westminster, MD
Dr. O’Sullivan grew up in the Wilmington, Delaware area. He graduated from the Mount Saint Mary’s College with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1987. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, University of Maryland in 1991. He then completed a 1-year Advance education in General Dentistry program at Fort Carson, Colorado and was awarded a certificate in 1992. He practiced general dentistry for 6 years both in the Army and in private practice. He then returned to school at the Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Dentistry for his specialty training in Endodontics. Dr. O’Sullivan was awarded his certificate in Endodontics in 1999 from VCU. He completed 10 years of active duty service and 4 years of reserve service in the Army and was given an honorable discharge from duty in 2001. His final duty assignment was at Fort Benning, Georgia where he served as Chief, Endodontics and Endodontic instructor to the AEGD program. Upon leaving the military, Dr. O’Sullivan moved his family back to Maryland and has been practicing in Owings Mills ever since.
He completed his board certification in 2003 from the American Board of Endodontics. He has authored articles in the Journal of Endodontics and has been a guest lecturer for the Army’s endodontics training program.
He maintains active membership in the College of Diplomates, the American Association of Endodontics, the American Dental Association, the Maryland Dental Association, and the Carroll County Dental Association. Dr. O’Sullivan has been named Top Dentist by Baltimore Magazine several times.
When he is not in the office having fun doing root canals, he enjoys being outdoors and spending time with his family.
